Welcome back to Demo Week, where we once again take a break from our usual programming to celebrate and showcase the incredible progress we've made over the last few months! In this post, I'll be sharing some exciting sneak previews of what’s coming this week as well as the exciting launch of our Lightdash Cloud Pro plan!
If this is your first Demo Week, then let me explain how it works. Every few months, the whole Lightdash team takes a week off from our regular feature building programme (>1 shipped a day) to share more context on what we’ve been working on the previous quarter. This takes the form of Demo Week blog posts written by us, going into more detail and colour around what we’ve been working on, why we’re working on it and sometimes how we built it too! We tend to share one blog post a day, and it’ll cover a range of features we’ve worked on organised around a common theme for us for the last few months.
The last quarter for us was all around ensuring Lightdash scaled well with teams. We noticed that as larger teams got started, there were bigger requirements around governance and permission-ing needed - and in the world of BI and data analytics, governance is a feature. This means controlling access to your data is more powerful and flexible than ever now in Lightdash. We’ve also been working on how to share access to your data and insights outside of Lightdash, a lot of data exploration often starts in Slack or email, and we’ve made it easy to share your insights directly there.
Building a BI tool - we often get asked about best practice by data teams on what they can do to better set their teams up for success, both in terms of easy access to data for their end users as well as how to best structure their projects, charts and dashboards to scale well as their organizations grow.
To help with this, look out for our first official demo week blog post later today, where we've compiled a set of best practices on organizing your projects effectively. These guidelines will help you streamline your project structure, making it more accessible and user-friendly for business users. By following these recommendations, you'll encourage contributions from non-technical team members, fostering a truly collaborative data-driven culture within your organization.
We know that high performing teams need even more performance and control over how their data is shared across their organisation - so we’ve introduced the Lightdash Cloud Pro plan to help. Cloud Pro gives teams access to features like SSO with pretty much every provider you need, unlimited scheduled deliveries and CSV exports as well as greater levels of support including a dedicated Slack Channel with direct access to the Lightdash team. This plan also comes with unlimited users, so you’re not restricted as your team continues to grow!
If you’re interested in learning more and getting a demo of Cloud Pro - schedule a call with the team today.
